Whereas the king has often asked that they should find the necessaries for Alan Poydras his messenger, weighed down by serious infirmity and detained at that house for five or six weeks or at least until he shall have convalesced, and they have not cared to carefully consider the king’s aforesaid prayers to do this, as the king has learnt, at which the king is greatly marvels and is disturbed because he had hoped that they would have tolerated much more, if he had sought something of them, the king seeks and asks them once more with greater affection that they find the aforesaid necessaries for the same without any difficulty, according to the tenor of other letters directed to them, doing as much in this matter that the king ought to respond to their actions with grace in return. 1
