The fine rolls can be searched using the following indexes. The indexes are those for the rolls for the first to the twenty-sixth year of King Henry's reign, that is from 28 October 1216 to 27 October 1242. They thus embrace the first phase of the reign from the king's accession to his partial entry into regal powers in December 1223, his adoption of full power in 1227 and the administratons of the justiciar Hubert de Burgh and Peter des Roches, bishop of Winchester, as well as the arrival of his foreign favourites and his assumption of full regal powers.
