Style book
In order to assist users become more familiar with the methods used in producing this new edition of the Fine Rolls of Henry III, and to explain some of the practical difficulties and challenges behind this process, we have made available the Style Book that guides the editors. This has been produced with the advice of the International Advisory Committee and has been the subject of much heated debate. As this project is ongoing, we would encourage users to submit any comments they have on the translation and the indices through the Feedback form. Simply click on the navigation menu to find the Editorial Conventions, a selection of Latin formulae to be found in the Fine Rolls with suggested translations, and the Indexing guidelines.
