to the king at the same term, so that after they have taken security both from
the aforesaid four burgesses and the aforesaid merchants for rendering the
monies pertaining to them, as aforesaid, they are to give surety to the sheriff
for rendering all of the aforesaid price of the aforesaid 31 tuns to the king
at the aforesaid term. The sheriff is similarly to answer the king at the same
term for the five tuns of wine that he had of the king’s wines, namely 4 m. for

Concerning selling the king’s
wines.
Order to the bailiffs of Bristol
that once the aforesaid 31 tuns of wine have been delivered, as
aforesaid, and surety has been made to the sheriff of Gloucestershire by the
aforesaid burgesses for rendering the aforesaid price to the king at the
aforesaid term, they are not to impede those who have the wines at Bristol from
selling them as freely as they can.
